And with regards to that exercise, boy, do I feel stupid! I spent close to two frustrating hours trying to break it using frequency analysis. Then I went away. When I got back I decided to just try all keys (there are 312) and then look through the corresponding plain texts. It took 10 minuttes. Doh! :)
