Start voting!

After enjoying my new single life I've discovered that certain people I know are sort of prudish have different views on picking up people than I do. However, now this can be settled! I've added a nice poll in the sidebar so you can cast your vote.

Naturally I expect myself to be right given that this is my blog but only time will show!

It seems to me, that you are trying to answer several questions at the same time with that poll...

1) Is it okay to have sex before marriage?
2) What the tipping point is for being promiscuous (in a bad sense) with regards to having casual sex with several people on the same day.
3) And finally, if in the case where you have casual sex with several people. Whether you should worry about possibly hurting their feelings by not holding back, that they are not someone special, with regards to having sex with you.

But to the real point - answering the above questions. :-)

1) I certainly believe so. But I accept, if anyone else thinks differently.

2) The numbers doesn't really matter, does it? It is more about who they are. One would be sufficient to be marked promiscuous in my book, if he or she were sufficiently repugnant. I mean - would it be promiscuous of me, to have sex with five cool hotties within the same day? I would just consider myself lucky. ;-)

3) Well... That sort of depends on the situation, doesn't it? For instance - it wouldn't make sense to try and conceal anything, if you are doing them on the same time. ;-)

In any other situation, then the only reason to try and hold anything back would be, if you expected to see them again - that is rarely the case with people you hook up with.

On the other hand - it is not likely to come up, unless you say something like "Oh my God, you are so much hotter than the person I had sex with in the beginning of the night." - I don't see a lot of people be offended of such a praise. Obviously, the converse statement would simply be cruel.

In conclusion, I would probably be low-key about it, but still stick with the truth if pressed on the issue.

Meta: I suppose this could just as well had been posted on my own blog. I have sort of neglected it. :S

Well, actually, no! ;)

@ 1) I don't really care whether people think it's okay to have sex before marriage. But if people do not think it's okay to pick up people casually they should have an option in the poll as well.

@ 2) Again, the important thing isn't what the tipping point is. I am interested in whether there is one. However, in case there is one I think it's fun to know where people think it is. Hence the possibility to select a specific number.

@ 3) Well, not really. My point is more that they represent different options

1) You can have casual sex with any number of people but you really shouldn't. So if you do under all circumstances hide it from the people involved.
2) You can have casual sex with any number of people and it's not a big deal.

As for how I feel about the situation I'll defer that to when voting is closed. Then I'll write a post summing it all up.
